Akron Neighborhoods: More Home for Your Money, Close to Everything

More home for your money: Ellet, Merriman Valley, Fairlawn Heights, Goodyear Heights, and all of Akron.

Living in Akron

Akron Ohio homes give you something a lot of buyers are looking for right now: more home for your money. Homes in many Akron neighborhoods are more affordable than in Cuyahoga Falls, just 10 minutes away, and the city has a wide range of neighborhoods, each with its own feel.

We serve all of Akron. We're based in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls, and these are the neighborhoods clients ask us about most.

Akron Homes

You'll find ranches, split levels, colonials, and century homes across Akron. That range makes it a strong place to look for a first home, a move-up home with more room, or a one-floor ranch.

If you're buying, we'll set up a search so you're the first to know when the right Akron home comes on the market. Buying for the first time? See first-time home buyers in Akron. If you're selling, we start with a Home Value Report at your home.

Akron Neighborhoods We Know

Ellet. On Akron's east side, Ellet joined the city in 1929 and kept growing even when much of Akron didn't, with many newer homes built since 1990. Springfield Lake sits at its south end.

Merriman Valley. Set in the Cuyahoga River valley, the Valley sits right by Hampton Hills Metro Park and minutes from Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Fairlawn Heights. Known for early to mid-1900s architecture on large, wooded hillside lots. It feels tucked away, but it's minutes from downtown Akron. Not to be confused with the city of Fairlawn next door.

Goodyear Heights. A historic neighborhood built in the early 1900s by Goodyear founder Frank Seiberling for his company's workers, next to Goodyear Heights Metro Park and its trails and fishing pond.

Schools

Most of Akron is served by Akron Public Schools, but district lines don't always follow city or neighborhood lines, especially near the edges of the city. Always check the district for a specific address before you buy. We'll check it for you on any home you're considering.
